Holter Monitoring

The ECG of a patient is recorded on a tape all the time during a holter monitoring. A Holter monitor is a small device that you wear that can find problems with your heart’s rhythm.

For men, chest hair must be shaved all the way down to the navel. Before the procedure starts, you should take a bath or shower. All patients must bring their original voter ID and any diagnostic or surgical reports or films from the past. Most of the time, the doctor will tell the patient how long they have to wear the device. Holter monitoring for 24 hours or more should be done in a hospital.
